A Chinese MedleyIn this year of the dragon, I finally put to score this original medley of two well-known melodies. I have played variations on these two themes numerous times. The first tune is about a wanderer: " like an olive tree - don't ask me where I come from. My home is far away. Why do I wander?" The second tune is about descendants of the dragon, i.e. the Chinese. I dedicate this to my family scattered around the world. January 2000 |
