Packed like sardines
Summer is not a good time to travel on the London Underground. It gets very hot on a warm day. The worst time to travel is of course during rush hour.
Today I was unfortunate enough to have to join the rush hour traffic coming back from a pension meeting.
It reminded me of my daily journey to and from the office almost four years ago after I had moved out of central London . I couldn't bear standing under someone's armpit or stretching my neck to get a breath of fresh air everytime the train doors opened.
Today I was equally squashed. I accidentally stepped on a man's shoe and apologised for it. He looked up and said that it was the best thing that happened to him today.
Well, I'm glad my life is more interesting than a sardine.
