Art for Busy People

When we get too busy to see
And too tired to feel
We tend to miss out
What's truly precious and real.

This transient life and modern world
Time and space no longer the same
Many things have moved faster
while others have not actually changed.

Do not let the finer moments pass
When we can afford to enjoy
To treat ourselves to life's simple secrets
Of inner beauty and peace of mind.

- Joan Yap, November 2002

If we could see not only with our eyes
But more with our hearts and our minds
We would find around us
What really delights and mystifies.
