CHILDREN'S PARTY

A big custom designed house. A children's birthday party. Mothers and fathers hanging out. I was invited to this party for the homemade Vietnamese food. Secretly, I came to play the grand piano that received little attention.

It stood in the corner. Its legs were carved by an artisan of its day. Modern piano builders don't waste time on embellishments. This was an old piano passed down through generations. The ivory keys spoke of it.

With the children playing in the back, I sat down and played. I interacted with this ancient instrument and reassured it of its importance. Then I took out my birthday variations and played for the little boy who turned six. Hey, Peyton, I hope you will love this piano like I do - someday!
